INFRARED THERMOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS
Infrared thermography (also known as IT: Infrared Testing) is a remote sensing technique capable of determining, with remarkable resolution and high thermal sensitivity, the temperature of a surface. Specifically, thermal mapping is obtained by measuring the infrared radiation emitted by the surface of the body under examination. The process is based on the physical principle that all bodies with a temperature above absolute zero (-273.15°C) emit electromagnetic energy, with a spectral distribution dependent on temperature, the composition of the body, and its emissivity.
