ULTRASONIC THICKNESS AND DEFECTOSCOPIC METHOD
Ultrasonic thickness and defect inspection is used when it is necessary to determine the wall thickness of pressure vessels and pipelines made of carbon steel, austenitic stainless steel, low-alloy steel, and special nickel-alloyed steel. Additionally, through the use of ultrasound, it is also possible to inspect fusion-welded joints of metallic materials to verify the presence of imperfections that could compromise their mechanical strength.
