Types of Petrochemical Analyses

The types of inspections carried out by the company are non-destructive and serve to ensure that the raw material does not undergo significant alterations during the entire production process. These include:
  • Magnetic particle inspection: involves applying a magnetic field to ferromagnetic materials. Variations in the flow lines are visible through powders or fluorescent lamps.
  • Liquid penetrants: substances that, through colour contrast or fluorescence, reveal defects in the raw material after adequately penetrating it.
  • Infrared thermography: consists of an infrared device that generates an alteration in the thermal field of the material.
  • Eddy currents: using a probe, an alternating magnetic field is generated, which, in the presence of defects, is disturbed at the spectrum level.
  • Visual examination: an analysis performed with the naked eye by expert personnel.
  • Radiography: X-rays are used to create photographic plates.
  • Ultrasound: devices with ultrasonic waves are used, which are transmitted into the raw material.
